Not another prize pack, per se, BUT, I am possibly doubling the number of final winners. 30 Day Book And Literature Challenge - Day 8:
   ↳ Your favourite quotes from books

It’s a hard decision and I will have to limit myself quite strongly. But here they are.

Of course I could basically quote the whole first chapter of that lovely book here, it is an exceptional example for sheer beauty, every word is right and the feelings and worries conveyed by Basil in describing Dorian and talking about their relationship hit me deep inside for their accuracy and familarity. This quote up there now might just be my absolute favourite part of it. I know the feeling painfully well.

I just couldn’t limit myself to only one quote from this book. My coby of it is plastered with post-its to mark the great quotes I found in there, because how much truth is in this book is almost painful. Both of these quotes have proven true to me several times in my life (the first one both literally and metaphorically), and that fascinates my. Of course, the whole book utterly fascinates me but that is a whole other story.

The next two quote are of German books that haven’t been translated into English yet. I will just give my own translation.

It’s so hard to believe and it seems so unreal.
My sister’s ex-fiancé, with whom we all used to spend a lot of time, died in a car crash today at only 24 years…

I haven’t quite wrapped my mind around it yet.
That this young man isn’t with us anymore.

It wasn’t his fault. A truck crashed into his car head-on. He didn’t even have a chance. It’s not fair.

My concerns are with his family right now, especially his little brother, who is around my age. I can’t even imagine what it would feel like to lose my sister.

Dilemma: I need to study for Latin. I don’t want to study for Latin.

The pure fact that this doesn’t even need a title or a description or anything speaks volumes. I mean look at the number of notes this has. There are so few people who don’t recognize it. And the song itself just gives you chills. It’s so magical.
